Teardrop-style rack frames are of welded construction using roll-formed steel profiles. Steel is of structural quality with a guaranteed minimum yield strength of 55,000 psi.

Rack frame posts are available in standard 3" wide x 1-5/8" deep and heavy-duty 3" wide x 3" deep cross-sections with steel thicknesses of 14, 13, and 12 Gauge.

The standard 3" x 1-5/8" x 13Ga Teardrop frame has a rated capacity of 21,620 Lbs UDL based on a maximum unsupported post height of 48" to the top of the first beam level.

The heavy-duty 3" x 3" x 13Ga Teardrop frame has a rated capacity of 32,370 Lbs UDL based on a maximum unsupported post height of 48" to the top of the first beam level.

All frame capacities have been calculated in compliance with the RMI Specification (US LRFD) for axial loads only.
